Polly Pocket

Who remembers Polly Pocket ? I had quite a few back in the day, my favourite being a large sparkly replica of Cinderella’s castle; I remember being so excited when I opened up the box on Christmas morning. I ended up with quite a village of them in the end: a church, several houses, a mermaid lagoon, a camper van, etc. Oh the hours spent! I think I may even still have some of them somewhere! Alas, I believe Cinderella’s castle may have been sold at a boot-fair though, in a spell of  teenage unsentimentality . Oh Well, we have the below editorial to console!

This wonderful editorial ‘Polly Pocket’ was shot by the very talented Marie Hochhaus for TUSH online. Did you recognise any from your childhood? Who would have thought Polly Pockets could be such a muse! These images are from Marie’s Behance profile, but she also has her own fabulous website too

Cuyana + Bali

The weather is warming up and the last few days of May are whizzing by; soon it will be June and there will be no denying that Summer is upon us! With that it mind I have a tropical editorial for you today from the talented photography duo Ann Street Studio. This set of pictures is from some work they did for the Cuyana – a fashion and accessories brand focusing on timeless, quality pieces. They had the great pleasure of decamping to Bali to create this lookbook and I love that they have heavily featured the beautiful flora, fauna and peoples of the region. It definitely puts me in the mood for a getaway, how about you?…..

Sittin’ and Hopin’

Here we go again! I think I’m going to have to initiate and Elisabeth Toll appreciation society! Going through her portfolio again I found this gem from a few years ago. The only thing I know is that it is likely from an issue of Grazia. Wouldn’t it be lovely to sit languidly draped over a chaise in Dries Van Noten. Let’s take note on how best to do this…
